Cancel Audio Voting?

Here is a real screenshot of a Sequoia voting machine as used in all Santa Clara County elections. In this case, the election officer has entered audio voting mode and then held down the rear yellow button with the intent of exiting audio voting mode. Pressing "OK" will exit audio voting mode; "Cancel" will do nothing.

Also, upon casting her ballot, one voter was thanked with a "ballot record #1 error" wherein the voting machine no lnoger responded to any input. We were told to have her vote again... our number of signatures and total votes cast matched, thankfully.

By the way, this was the last election paper ballots were made available in Santa Clara County. I'm told that the machines will print receipts (that you can't take with you -- obviously) for future elections. If you still want paper, register as an absentee voter. You can still hand deliver an absentee ballot to any precinct in the county.
